I bought a Garmin Etrex. Nothing fancy, but it might get us out of a bind if we get lost. Much easier than turning the laptop into one. Even though the mapping in South America isnt very good, the GPS will still track where we are going and will be able to back track us if we run into a dead end. Now, I just have to figure out how to use it!!
